Ask Eve (AI Assistant)
Evergreen’s Ask Eve is your built-in AI assistant for content strategy. Eve allows you to ask questions and receive AI-generated insights or recommendations directly within the app. This tool is perfect for getting on-demand advice, brainstorming content ideas, and answering “how-to” questions as you work.
Using Ask Eve: You can access Ask Eve via the sidebar (look for the chat or assistant icon) or a dedicated section in Evergreen. Simply click Ask Eve and type your question or request into the chat box. Eve understands natural language, so you can ask things like:
- “What topics should I create content about for [your industry]?”
- “How can I improve the SEO of my homepage?”
- “Give me ideas for blog posts about our new product launch.”
- “Explain what Core Web Vitals are.”
After you submit your question, Eve will generate a helpful response. For example, if you ask how to improve your homepage SEO, Eve might analyze the information it has (including best practices and any data Evergreen knows about your site) and reply with tips such as improving title tags, adding internal links, or increasing page speed.
Capabilities: Ask Eve leverages advanced AI (including retrieval-augmented generation) to provide contextually relevant answers. It can draw upon general web best practices, SEO knowledge, and even elements of your project’s data if available. This means the answers are not just generic, but often tailored to your content and site structure. Eve can help with tasks like:
- Content Strategy Advice: Get suggestions for content planning, keyword targeting, or content updates.
- SEO and Analytics Questions: Ask about interpreting Evergreen’s SEO or performance insights (for example, “What does a good LCP score look like?”).
- Platform Guidance: If you’re unsure how to do something in Evergreen, you can ask Eve for help (e.g. “How do I add a new page to my sitemap?”), and it will explain the steps.
Tips for Best Results: Be as specific as possible with your questions. If Eve’s answer is too broad, feel free to ask follow-up questions or clarify what you need. You can have a conversation with the assistant by typing additional questions in the chat. Keep in mind that Eve provides useful guidance, but you should review its suggestions with your own judgment. Always double-check any critical recommendations (especially if they involve code or significant site changes) before implementing.
Note: Ask Eve is designed to assist you, but it may not have access to absolutely all your private data. It will use the information you’ve entered into Evergreen (like your project settings or page data) and its general knowledge. If a question falls outside its scope or requires data you haven’t provided, Eve will still do its best to help with general best practices.
